Looking for a new fitness program? How about trying the Presidential Fitness Challenge. This challenge comes in three varieties:
1. The Active Lifestyle Program - For those of you who aren't active on a daily basis yet, this is a great way to begin. The rules are basically to get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week, for a total of 6 weeks.
2. The Presidential Champions Program - If you're already active and want a new challenge, this program is for you. Your goal is to see how many points you can earn by staying active. Points are based on the amount of energy each activity burns. So the more active you are, the more points you'll get. When you reach 20,000 points, you'll earn a Bronze award. Then you can continue on in the Presidential Champions program for a Silver or Gold award.
3. The Advanced Performance Presidential Champions Program - This is basically the same system as the Presidential Champions Program, except that the award goals are higher. For instance, you need to get 40,000 points to earn a Bronze award. The Presidential Champions Fitness Program Website

Ok... I'm male and I work out with Denise *raise hand*
But seriously tho, I love her workouts (except the parts where she talk about [getting rid of] pregnancy fat and bra overhangs... and the occasional exercise that is not so convenient with something between the legs.) I think I shave off abot 8 pounds so far in the month or so that I started doing exercises with her.
Not being the early bird or havint TiVo, I got 2 of her DVDs (Power Zone & Personal Training System.) Both of them are great! They're highly customizable to various levels & all-encompassing workout with cardio, toning, and stretches for the whole body (I try to do 40 minute a day on them, and be more mindful of what I eat.)

I've been a denise austin fan for a while now, but this is the first time i've looked for an online group. I'm 18 years old and i've been doin her workouts on lifetime on and off for a few years now. Lately i've been trying to stick to the workouts every morning, but i keep wanting to sleep so i never make it out of bed :(
Anyways, just thought i'd say hi...i'll let u know if i make it out of bed tomorrow for the work-out lol. Take care!

hey, i'm 18 years old and for the past 3 weeks or so I've been doing Denises workouts on lifetime TV. I've done them about 2 or 3 times each week, and I'm very surprised that I've stuck with it for this long, because I have never done any manner of exercise before except for figure skating when i was a lot younger. I think she's so awesome. She's very sweet and soothing to listen to, I just want to hug her. I really love how she gives tips every day, they stick in my mind and even if I don't always follow them, many things I do subconciously now, like drinking more water and getting fruit in my day. I'm 130 lbs right now and I don't feel that I need to lose any weight at all, but while browsing through the channels I listened to her talk about how exercise is a great solution to so many problems and how it is so important however much you weigh, and its true. I don't think I've felt this good in a long time. I'm very interested in yoga now and my mom got me some yoga dvds for christmas. I'm glad I found the community, I hope more people join :) Strong bodies strong minds

Hi - I recently started working out with Denise Austin's Daily Workout. I got a season pass to it on my TiVo - and I really love it. I'm a 20 yr old college student, and I'm going to try to do it on average 3 times a week before classes. If I don't get it done before school, I don't think it would get done at all. Congrats on the baby boy truant, and good luck with the pregnancy pounds.

Ok... well I'm back here again, a year or so later. I had my son 5 months ago and I have lost about 35 pounds of my pregnancy weight, I just have 15 more to go.
I started doing Denise's two morning shows two weeks ago after losing my job. I already feel better and I can feel my muscles starting to firm up. Current Mood: groggy

So much for the weight loss
Over the summer I had managed to lose 20 pounds and get down to a size 4-5, and 125 pounds. I felt great and I looked great.Then in mid-August I became pregnant. I am now in my sixth month and I have gained back around 23 pounds. I have three more months to go, then I'ts back to the gym to do it all over again, but It's worth it, along with gaining 35 pounds I will have gained a beautiful baby son.
So Denise Austin has a pregnancy tape that is pretty good. I bought that along with a Kathy Smith and Buns of Steel tape and I was alternating them off and on throughout my pregnancy but not consistently like I should be. I'm just so tired after working all day. But I am going to get on a schedule starting the first of February to do the tapes 5 days a week. Current Mood: tired

Hello I was searching live Journal interests and I was amazeds when I found a Denis Austin Journal. I just started working out to her videos about a month ago. I love her videos. At first I was skeptical but once I started feeling more energetic I realized it was worth it. I don;t really neeed to lose a lot of weight, but I am getting married Dec. 15 and I want to look my absolute best. I am at my heaviest now, although I have been lucky and the weight has been proportionate. Most people don't even notice. Well, thats what they say. But I am starting to see results in my butt, which is great! I will update again sometime soon! Glad to be here! I just finished working out a minute ago. I am a late night person. I think I will go do some aerobics now! Current Mood: hot

It has been a very long time since I have updated here... not that it matters, I doubt anyone even reads this.
Well I have lost about 15 pounds since mid May !!!! What I did was join the gym finally. For years I have been hell bent on doing aerobic tapes at home and swearing up and down that it is a better workout than the equipment at the gym... but now I know I was wrong.
I go to the gym about 6 times a week and I do 45-60 minutes of cardio, stairmaster and bike, or I go on the treadmill... then three days a week I do Denise Austin weight traning at home, with the tapes. ANd I do her abs everyday.
I feel so good about myself, I dont think there is a better feeling in the world than being thin, and being able to go in the closet and wear ANYTHING without worrying whether it will fit. Current Mood: accomplished

Back to working out again! I took the last two days off and I feel like I gained back what I lost the week before. I went to a party/BBQ last night and beer (which I love dearly) is not good for the waist line. My goal is to lose this weight by summer time... I guess i have to give up the beer. Today I started the Scan Diet program. They are shakes sort of like Slim Fast but you drink 5 a day and they are made with soy protien. They taste pretty good too! I taped Denise's two shows this morning so I will work out to those when I get home from work. Current Mood: sore

Hi everyone! I just created this community because I love Denise Austin and there are no communities on Live Journal where we can discuss her workouts and compare results. This webpage will be a forum for everyone to post how their personal weight loss is coming along with Denise's help, or if you just need advice or inspiration.
I myself, am 5'4 and I weight 140 pounds. I would like to lose 20 pounds by this summer. My goal is to eat as healthy as possible and workout everyday to Denise's Fit & Lite, and Daily Workout on Lifetime. I did this 3 years ago when I was 20 and I saw results within a month, so I am confident I can do it again. Current Mood: loved
